While we spent our bank holiday partying at London’s Notting Hill Carnival, the stars of music flocked to the 2014 MTV VMA’s. Above, Taylor Swift showed us her racier side in a blue high cut play suit by designer Mary Katrantzou. Miley Cyrus swapped her usual daring style for a more covered look in black leather trousers and bandeau top and singer Jennifer Lopez sparkled in sexy silver crisscross gown.
Rita Ora lead the British invasion of the VMA’s in not one but three super sexy outfits. Arriving at the event in a floor length red dress with thigh high split and open back. The singer then changed into a spider web designed black bodysuit for her performance of Black Widow with rapper Iggy Azalea. Her final change of the night came in the form of a barely there black jacket with sheer cut out detailing.
Miss Ora wasn’t the only British beauty with three ensembles on the night. Jessie J walked the red carpet in a backless Grecian style gown but switched up her look from floor length to mini for her performance where she wore a monochrome long sleeved minidress with side splits. Finally Jessie opted for black wide palazzo pants and daring sequin top.
Sister act: The Kardashian girls were in full red carpet glamour as Kim lead the way in daring low cut printed outfit. Kendall opted for a more sophisticated style in black sheer top and trousers and 17 year old Kylie looked much older in long black silk wrap dress with thigh high split.
Shimmering sirens: Australian rapper Iggy Azalea shone in sequin detailed floor length gown and Kesha looked super glam in all over shimmering dress. Amber Rose attended the awards in unusual silver chain outfit showing off her curvaceous figure leaving little to the imagination.
Double denim: Katy Perry attended the bash in patchwork denim dress matching with rapper Riff Raff, a look reminiscent of the double denim outfits worn by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake back in 2001.
Highlight of the night, Queen B performs a twenty minute medley and scoops four awards including ‘The Greatest Living Entertainer’ presented to her by husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy causing an emotional Beyonce to cry into her towel as she received the award.
