10 things you didn’t know about Lucy Kent

1. Hi Lucy! Thank you for joining us and taking part in our special feature. You have been modelling for quite some time now, could you tell us how you got into the industry?
 My pleasure! I have – I was 23 when I got into modelling, I’m now 31 so 8 years! It all started when I took part in a beauty pageant and won Miss Surrey which was very exciting! From winning Miss Surrey, I had some amazing opportunities to model and that’s where is all began.

2. Have you travelled anywhere special within your career? 
I’ve been to some beautiful locations all over England but once I was very lucky to shoot in Barbados for a travel company! It was a dream! 

3. Which dress from our current collection is your favourite & why? 
I love the Yumi pink satin wrap midi dress! Just adore the pink colour, the wrap fit with the floaty sleeves is so flattering and it’s a great length! It think it’s just a perfect dress for so many different occasions.

4. What TV series are you currently watching? 
You can’t beat a good Netflix series! I recently watched the Dahmer series which was disturbing, but I normally love anything set in the past. I recently rewatched the Pride and Prejudice series with Colin Firth which definitely has to be one of my favourites as I’m a big romantic! I’m also a big fan of Outlander! 
 

5. Tell us a random fact about yourself! 
I’m a qualified masseuse and skin therapist! It’s something I would definitely consider going back into one day; I love to make people feel good.

6. If you could pick a high-end designer brand to model for, who would you chose? 
I would say Alexander McQueen, I love that his designs are so artistic and different! It would be a privilege to model his couture collection. 

7. Pick a celebrity you would switch places with for a day.
I would say Kate Middleton, I would love to see what it would be like to be a Royal & try on some beautiful jewels and tiaras! Not to mention, I would love to snoop round Buckingham Palace, ha!  

8. Do you have any tips for people who are new to modelling? 
Make sure you get some really lovely photos taken that shows your personality for your portfolio, find a modelling agency that fits who you are, and take care of your appearance. Don’t forget to drink lots of water for your skin! I also recommend building on your social media as it’s a great way to find clients and brands to work with.

9. Tell us something that you are passionate about. 
In 2018 I came runner up in a pageant called Miss Scuba UK! This pageant was to create awareness for the oceans and conservation projects for marine life which Is something I’m really passionate about. 

10. If someone gave you a free flight to take tomorrow, where would you pick and why?
It would have to be Bora Bora, it’s an island in French Polynesia! I would love to scuba dive around the beautiful coral reefs, just enjoy island life….and drink from a coconut! Ha!
