Yumi City Style Guides: Roaming in Rome

    June 27, 2013

I’m a massive Daddy’s girl – and my Daddy is a massive fan of Italy. It follows that he and I spent an obscene amount of my childhood quite literally Roaming in Rome – around gelaterias, monasteries and historical sites – of which there are squillions.

Roaming in Rome might sound idyllic, but practicality is key if you want to stay comfy and still look scrummy when you’re visiting Civitavecchia – and you’ve come to the right place if you want to remain chic, calm & collected!

Besides the Vatican, the Colosseum is easily one of the most famous attractions in Rome – and this Tribal Print Zip Dress by Mela  captures the wildness of Ancient Rome perfectly – as well as being molto buono. Wear with some seriously comfortable gladiator sandals, huge sunglasses and a venti cappuccino to go for that undeniably Italian feel!

Want just 1 piece to team with anything to create an effortlessly Italian style? It has to be the failsafe neck scarf – and I just love this Yumi Bird Print Scarf which will add an instant zing to your everyday denims and t-shirts!

When visiting Rome, it strikes you that everybody has impeccable footwear! If, like me, you suffer from extreme boot lust, I’m sorry to say there is no vaccine. There is a cure, however, and it comes in the form of these Yumi Hoa Ankle Boots for the heel wearers among you, or the delectable Knee High Riding Boot for those of you who, like me, prefer a flat – both will make you look like a Vixen on a Viper!

So there you have it – LOADS of inspiration for your Roman style – all you have to do now is bag yourself a Gladiator!
