City Style Guide: Lovely London

July 12, 2013

I’m going to be totally honest – I’m 24 years old and have visited Las Vegas more times than I’ve visited London. However, the one thing that always strikes me about the capital is the delicious blend of styles on offer – and how wardrobe-inspired I feel when I get home.

I was in London just last week, so I thought it was about time to share a London Style Guide!

First of all, with Wimbledon just ending you have to give a wink to the old Tennis fashion (and Andy murray – Ding dong!) and what better way to do it than with the very British Daisy Cut-Out Sun Dress! Alright, there’s a bit of yellow in there but its super sweet for a sunny day shopping at Oxford Circus! To go from day-to-night carry the Fitted Jersey Blazer in Navy for a cute but quick chill-blocker!

Of course, any mention of London now brings to mind the very gorgeous Duchess of Cambridge and no style guide would be complete without an attempt to emulate her demure but smouldering primness. Its a bit much to teeter around in something tailored this sweltering summer – so why not just pack this cute double breasted mac in case of surprise showers?

I have to say, though, the most exciting part of London for me is the visions I have of Carnaby Street in the 1960s! The Beehives and the Cat-Eyes! If you feel like heading to the Swinging Sixties then you won’t be alone – London has some of the most beautifully vintage-inspired fashionistas I’ve ever seen. Why not join them? I think this Belted Jacquard Dress would look really groovy paired with a big bouffant and some kitten heels!
