Summer Diaries: NoTomorrow Festival 2015

June 12, 2015

Hip-Hip Ho-Rayyyy, I think we can officially say that the Festival season is undoubtedly under way.  The last couple of weeks you’ve seen our Marketing Assistant venturing in and out of festivals, from exploring the first ever Lost Village Festival, to dancing stage side at We Are FSTVL.

Well its been a new week, which means a new festival and it also means a new instalment of Summer Diaries.

This week, our Marketing Assistant Faye has crossed into the Northern border to party in the city which gave us Robin Hood. Last weekend Faye ventured to Nottingham where she saw the likes of Jessie Ware and DJ EZ.

Welcome to the third segment of Summer Diaries: NoTomorrow Festival 2015.

Looking back at last weekend’s adventures, this has most definitely been one of my favourites so far… I mean.. it might have been because I got pretty drunk, or maybe because I was so close to Jessie Ware I could have fainted – either way, NoTomorrow is one for any girl’s summer hit list.

After a two and a half hour drive, a packet of Jelly beans, and a cactus jumpsuit outfit change, I was ready!

Walking into Wollaton Park was pretty beautiful.. I mean dancing in front of the Wollaton Hall (which was used as Batman’s house in the latest movies) was a pretty great added extra.

The festival’s  layout was designed well, a lot of room to both chill and explore.

There was the main stage with a line up of artists such as Kwabs, Jessie Ware and Nick Mulvey. The big top tent was full of the DJs, such as EZ and Bondax, and hidden away was the dance off stage, for the DnB lovers.

The food had a good mix of choices, Mexican, Indian, Burgers, Pizzas, and mmm, Mac and Cheese (which I undoubtedly regret just a little!)

If you’re the type of person who needs more than just music, NoTomorrow has it sorted. With hennas by Peaceful Butterfly, face paint, sugary treats, vintage stores, photobooths, and Cubanisto tasters –  there’s always room for a little bit of a time out!

My never ending list of acts to see started with Kwabs, which I unfortunately missed.. sigh*

Bondax was second on my hit list, not as good as a live set but still got the crowd going! DJ EZ was of-course amazing, even with the on and off power-cuts.

Jessie Ware was the final jigsaw piece for Saturday’s line- up and of course she didn’t leave us disappoint…

Until next time…
