Olivia Yi, the Norwegian blogger behind the blog, Beauty From The Fjord, shares her style secrets with us.
How would you describe your autumn/winter style?
My autumn/winter style is simple, classy and bright! The items I can’t live without are knee-high boots, faux fur coats and patterned scarves!
Who are your biggest influences when it comes to the way you dress?
I don’t have a specific style icon, but my style is influenced by everything and everyone around me. I love scrolling through my Instagram and finding style inspirations from my favourite fashion bloggers.
Have you always been passionate about clothes?
Not really! I used to wear trainers and hoodies all the time until a couple of years ago. My blog definitely inspired me to be more fashionable!
Where would you wear your Yumi look?
I think this look is very versatile and as a co-ord, it looks perfect as party wear! However, the jacket and black trousers also makes great office-attire.
What do you love about Yumi?
EVERYTHING! I think Yumi has the perfect colour palette for this season! I’m a sucker for patterns and beautiful textures and Yumi is the top destination for both!
What are your favourite trends for AW15?
It’s definitely the 70s, simply because of the funky patterns. However, I’m also very obsessed with faux fur and suede at the moment!
What are your essential autumn/winter style tips?
Stay warm and layer up with chunky knits and statement jackets! Scarves are also important for keeping warm and I have a few patterned scarves in my wardrobe to bring out a pop of colour during the colder months!
What are your favourite pieces from the Yumi AW15 collection?
What makes your country an amazing place to live?
I’m currently based in London, but I do travel back and forth to my hometown in Norway. I love the gorgeous natural landscapes in Norway and it’s a nice place to relax.
How would you describe your country’s winter style?
Norwegian style is very simple and the winter style is minimal! A classy duffle coat and knits with traditional patterns are some of the key Scandinavian winter items.
Where would you recommend visiting in your country?
Stavanger, my hometown is definitely one of the best places to visit because it’s one of the warmer cities in Norway in the winter and you might even expect some snow on Christmas day! In the summer, I also recommend that you visit Preikestolen, which is a cliff with a 604m vertical drop down to the fjord.
