2015: What To Watch Out For
2015 is just around the corner and we’re excited about the new trends, music, movies and more. We’ve selected the top things to watch out for in the coming months – these are the names and faces to remember.
1. Hozier
Irish singer and songwriter Hozier came on to the scene last year with his debut album “Take Me To Church” but after an incredible performance at the 2014 Victoria Secret Fashion Show we feel 2015 is going to be his year. Download “Take Me To Church” and “From Eden” now and you can thank us later.
2. Josephine Skriver
Once criticized for being “too beautiful” to model, Josephine Skriver is very much on the rise. Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, the 21 year old has been a fashion week runway fave this season and with campaigns for Tom Ford and Pink under her belt, this is the fashion face to watch out for in 2015.
3. Fifty Shades of Grey
We’re all patiently waiting for the much-anticipated film adaptation of E. L. James’ “Fifty Shade of Grey” to be released. Whether you love or loathe the book, little will prevent most women from going to see Jamie Dornan on the big screen. We’re also excited to see Rita Ora take on the role of Christian’s younger sister, Mia. February 14th 2015 really can’t come soon enough.
4. Jack O’Connell
Skins Alum Jack O’Connell has transitioned from teen heartthrob to skilled character actor in a short space of time. The Derby native is on our list of ones to watch out for in 2015 following an incredible performance in this years ‘’71’ and the lead in the upcoming Angelina Jolie directed ‘Unbroken’. At only 24 Jack’s star is very much on the rise.
5. Mad Men – The final episodes
April 2015 will bring the last ever episodes of Mad Men – the breathtaking American period drama set in a fictional advertising agency in New York during the 1960’s. Mad Men has had such an incredible influence on the runway collections over the past couple of years, most notably at Louis Vuitton and Roland Mouret with the nipped in waists and full skirts. We’re not quite sure what we’re going to do without Don, Peggy, Roger and Joan in our lives. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but their style legacy will live on.
6. Royal Baby
Come late spring The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will welcome baby number two. The palace are keeping mum on the gender of the baby but that hasn’t stopped us speculating baby names – we love Elizabeth for a girl and Henry for a boy. We cannot wait to welcome the new Prince or Princess!
