Bloggers Edit: Izzy Stocks Picks Her Spring Summer 2013 Top 5

Here are my styling tips for my top five Yumi summer-ready pieces! It was difficult to narrow it down; I can tell you that, as everything in the new drop is beautiful! However, these pieces represent five, on-trend essentials every girl should have in her wardrobe.

The Rose and Music print dress (above left) is simply gorgeous! For day I would add cable-knit tights in chocolate and co-ordinate the tan belt with brown, lace-up ankle boots for a vintage twist. I absolutely adore hats, so throwing on a fedora would create the epitome of laidback girlishness.

Next up, I love the versatility of the Peter Pan Collar Pleat Top; (above middle) the 60’s vibe, embellished collar is a style staple in its own right. For a sweet look, let the collar peek out from under a sweater. An A-line floral skirt will add quirkiness and elegant ballet flats with tights or frilly ankle socks (when the weather warms up!) will exude an Audrey Hepburn innocence.

Incorporating a horizontal stripe into your wardrobe gains major fashion points and it’s easy to do with this Striped Jumper (above right). I would pair this Spring knit with blue jeans for a shopping trip, and pick one hue out of the stripes to coordinate my footwear.

This Polka Dot Sun Dress (above left) stands out for its curve-enhancing silhouette. Made for summer holidays, it would look amazing on the beach or at a garden party, accessorized with a raffia bag, a pair of navy, ankle-tie espadrilles (channel a wedge for extra 50’s glamour!) and some fabulously retro, cat-eye sunglasses.

Finally, the Butterfly Print Drape Jacket (above right) is bound to add oomph to any outfit. Layer it over a loose, white t-shirt and team with jeans and nude-coloured sandals by day, then switch to a LBD and heeled sandals for night! Your key accessory is eye-catching jewellery; go for a delicate chain with a charm or a jewelled bib necklace to inject a bit of effeminate glamour.
