Meet The Team: Our Digital Marketing Assistant
Have your ever wondered what life as a Digital Marketing Assistant is really like? Well wonder no more because Amma has all the answers! She’ll be talking through her favourite things about working at Yumi, her standout piece from SS18 and why she loves hitting up Swedish fitness classes!
What’s your favourite thing about working at Yumi?
I love working for a brand where the design happens in-house. I’m inspired by the creativity of the design team and find the clothes really unique thanks to that creativity. On the digital side of things, it’s never boring. Yumi has loads to offer and its fun working towards putting that out in the digital sphere for customers to see and experience.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day consists of lots of planning around email campaigns and also working with affiliates to put the brand out there. Overseeing email campaigns from concept, briefing to scheduling and reporting is fun because it involves being creative but also analytical at the same time.
What’s your standout piece from our SS18 range?
Being half French, I really love the Versailles Gardens collection. French style is timeless and I love how it’s represented in the French Floral Embroidered Tunic Dress – it’s modern in cut yet hints romantic and timeless styles…very Parisian.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I’m fairly new to London so I’m constantly exploring the city. I love going to galleries, shows (poetry, comedy clubs, music gigs) and to keep fit I go to Swedish Fitness classes.
I also have a personal fashion blog that I started less than a year ago, just for the fun of it. That also keeps me busy doing photo-shoots and going to events to discover brands . I’m also a freelance writer for a magazine called Eluxe so I get to write, another passion of mine.
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this Spring/Summer?
Just spending a full summer in London for the first time! I’m especially excited for festivals and the one I’m dying to go to is AFROPUNK. I missed it last year as I was away, and Solange was performing so I’m definitely looking forward to catching up to the hype!
