Sneak Peek at Yumi’s Injection Collection
Yumi’s Spring / Summer Injection Collection launches on-line and in stores shortly and because we are so excited about it here at Yumi HQ we decided to give you a sneak peek here first!
The collection is designed to be a mid-season wardrobe boost with pieces directly influenced by the catwalks, but always in the Yumi signature shapes, ensuring you get the summer’s biggest trends nailed down!
We asked the Head of Design here at Yumi HQ, Kat Moore, to tell us more.
Q. What’s the most inspiration behind the injection collection? A. The design team were inspired by all the wallpaper floral’s we are seeing on the catwalks. Our injection trend ‘Bobbie’s Girl’ is a retro nod to the 50’s style fits, mixed with more bold 60’s influenced graphics and vintage detailing.
Q. What are the key pieces from the collection and why are they on-trend for the season? A: The most important shape is a fit and flare dress silhouette which we have developed in new fabrications. These are best worn with a cute cropped cardigan thrown over the shoulders. Other key pieces include our monochrome polka dot dress which is ideal for both smart and casual looks. We also love our apple green raincoat – perfect for spring showers.
Q. What’s your favourite piece in the collection and why? A. I love our super cute daisy jumper, this kind of blocky graphic is just my style.
Q. How will it sit alongside the rest of the collection? A. Our knitwear pieces are always designed to cross over our dress’s and separates and create an easy-to-wear feminine look for a summer’s day outing. I like the idea that our Yumi girl can mix and match the different trends in her own individual way.
Q. How many pieces overall in the injection collection? A. We concentrated our best ideas to make a condensed collection of 14 pieces which mostly consist of our trademark cute and quirky day dresses.
