Style It Like The Queen
Throughout her lengthy reign, the Queen has provided us with countless outfits, endless pearl necklaces and a vast range of bright colours! From her matching coat and hat combination to her pristine white gloves, her sense of style has a special place in our hearts. And with her 93rd birthday fast approaching – her first birthday of the year might we add – we thought we’d honour her by presenting our favourite royal looks.
Unfortunately, unlike the Queen, we can’t offer you two birthdays or a palace, but we can give you the chance to dress like her. Since Liz throws a garden party every year, we’ve dedicated our looks to tea parties and outdoor events. Think scones, crumpets and of course…cake! All that’s missing is a majestic dress and maybe a couple of corgis. So, let the celebrations begin!
Royal Red
A popular colour from her youth, the Queen tends to rock red when she’s hosting at Buckingham Palace. Copy her look with our spotted skater dress. In a fit and flare shape, the polka dot print is playful and on-trend – the hemline even meets the strict knee-length requirements! Make sure you’re in-keeping with the Queen’s standards and combine the dress with a pair of red heels.
Princess and Pinks
She was recently spotted wearing pink on her wedding anniversary, so it’s clearly a best-loved choice of hers! Make pink part of your wardrobe when you go for this tunic dress with a lace overlay. All Hail Yellow

Imitate HRH’s look from Kate and Will’s wedding and team with a white bag. Maybe leave the white gloves at home though…

Green hues are a staple of the Queen’s wardrobe. She’s not only worn it tastefully at Meghan and Harry’s wedding last year, but she proved her sense of humour when she wore it on St. Patrick’s Day! Just like Queen Liz, choose green to show off your fashion sense by stepping into this strap dress. The classic shape gives off formal vibes, but feel free to dress it down with a knitted cardy – we won’t tell if you don’t!
British Blue
It’s been said before that blue is the Queen’s favourite shade; she’s worn it innumerable times, but rarely repeats an outfit. However, we believe in a savvier approach. Despite the Queen only wearing trousers once at any royal visit, we still think this pinky-purple jumpsuit is the way forward. It’s regal, royal and ready for a party! Modern meets classic with the full-length flared legs, while the crossover neckline takes the glamour to the next level! Ditch the necklace and wear dangling pearl earrings instead.
