Introducing…Mela London!
Well, the news is out. Mela London has finally dropped and it’s safe to say we’re ecstatic. It’s a collaboration that’s close to our hearts because, if you didn’t know already, Mela is our sister brand. So we thought the best way introduction was with a family gathering – only joking – we’re going to show you the official launch (eek!)
While some of you may be familiar with Mela and its iconic cuts and frill details, this drop is the best one yet – yes, we’re slightly biased. As the ultimate work-to-weekend brand, the Mela designers have sought to create a collection with modern dresses, jumpsuits and tops. And they did just that. Expect pastel colour palettes, slanted hemlines and no – we’re not joking – there are even more frills.
We can’t wait any longer… here are the essential Mela pieces. Find them on the Yumi site now!
Sweet spots

The key prints for Mela? Spots, of course. Like with all things Mela, all the patterns are timeless, meaning that most looks can be worn all year round – nifty, right? Mela’s designers focus on classic trends, so that you don’t have to worry whether your next purchase will stand the test of time. Take this shirt dress at the perfect example – whilst you wouldn’t wear it every weekend (although you wish you could), its feminine shape and versatile palette will win it a place in your capsule wardrobe.
Fresh shapes

Before you’re convinced otherwise, playing it safe is not at the heart of Mela London’s values. In fact, it’s the opposite. As shown with this wrap dress, their stylists are always pulling out the stops to create fresh and contemporary cuts to take your wardrobe from desk to drinks (and back again). All the pieces promise to be adaptable and current, so you’ll find a reliable friend – even a best friend – in Mela’s inclusive shapes.
Suit up

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Mela is purely a dress brand. But contrary to popular belief, they have a penchant for jumpsuits too. Florals and stripes are easily reworked in this collection with a fresh twist, and the culotte trousers are a season staple. Need something a little more formal? Try out your new wedding guest look – but, if you’re heading down that route, then we’d also suggest scrolling through the dresses as well.
The party edit

From party-ready maxi dresses to skater dresses that can be dressed up or down, Mela is already ready for drop-everything plans. Packed with iconic designs and the latest trends, there’s something for every Friday night – including this dress.
