Tea Break Tuesday: The Place Beyond the Pines.

For this week’s Tea Break Tuesday we thought we’d share our excitement for the upcoming release of Hollywood Hottie Ryan Gosling’s latest flick ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’. Back working with his ‘Blue Valentine’ director Derek Cianfrance, Ryan play’s a motorcycle stunt rider who turns to robbing banks in order to provide for his lover (real life girlfriend Eva Mendes) and their new born child, a decision that has him colliding into newbie cop and politician Bradley Cooper. Ok…So we may be using this as an excuse to sit and swoon but can you blame us? Check some of our favourite pic’s of Ryan at work.

    Let’s talk about…flowers!

While everyone focuses on black & white and stripes we think we should liven things up a little with flowers. Even though it’s the middle of March, spring is still sleeping soundly in her bed. Blossoming trees are currently the only ones screaming “Wake up, summer is on its way” Our wardrobe is full of dresses so let’s combine them with leggings, tights and even jeans.  Lets buck the trend and the bitter snow outside. So enough with the black and grey – night and day – let’s bring the colors, let’s bring the flowers! You don’t have any floral prints you say? It’s time to splash some color into your wardrobe with these bold…

Lilly Kitten: The Fashion Blogger Talks Vlogging and Style Inspiration

Fashion blogger Lily Kitten caught our eye when she featured our flying ducks jumper dress as part of her outfit of the day video blog. We loved it and were intrigued by her 1940’s inspired sense of style, so wanted to get to know her a bit better. Only blogging since July 2012,  the meteoric rise of this Manchester girls blog proves that once you set your mind to something, great things can happen! Hi Lily Kitten, when did you decide fashion blogging was for you? As a young teenager, I went to a lot of heavy metal gigs and I dabbled in the darker side of fashion for many years.…

Bloggers Edit: Izzy Stocks Picks Her Spring Summer 2013 Top 5

Here are my styling tips for my top five Yumi summer-ready pieces! It was difficult to narrow it down; I can tell you that, as everything in the new drop is beautiful! However, these pieces represent five, on-trend essentials every girl should have in her wardrobe. The Rose and Music print dress (above left) is simply gorgeous! For day I would add cable-knit tights in chocolate and co-ordinate the tan belt with brown, lace-up ankle boots for a vintage twist. I absolutely adore hats, so throwing on a fedora would create the epitome of laidback girlishness. Next up, I love the versatility of the Peter Pan Collar Pleat Top; (above middle)…

    Sail Away with Nautical Stripes

Our nautical themed Spring/Summer 2013 edit is the perfect companion to those forthcoming boat balls, beach BBQ’s and poolside parties; a classic, preppy piece of sailor-chic. Nauticality reemerges each sunny season as an essential staple of any fashionista’s wardrobe. Tommy Hilfiger (above right) took us on a nautical journey along New York’s Hudson River for his venturesome S/S ‘13 offering. Americana reds, blues and whites made up his explorer-themed colour palette, with buttoned-up sailor dresses and regatta-striped, pyjama style suits strolling down the catwalk. Hilfiger was just one of numerous designers to walk the line, with Dolce and Gabbana (above left) embracing the Breton stripe in their ‘Sea, Sun, Love’ collection. Ruler-lined…

Valentine’s Dream Date – Rooftop Cinema

We may be quick off the mark here but love it or hate it, Valentine’s day is on the horizon, so we thought we would give you a few date ideas, things that we would love to do! Kensington Roof Gardens are reopening their exclusive rooftop film club. The two films showing on Thursday February 14 are the 1989 romantic comedy, When Harry Met Sally, and the beautiful black and white 1942 classic, Casablanca. The viewings take place amongst picturesque, themed scenery situated 100ft above Kensington High Street. While it’s winter, spectators will be seated in a tucked-away, heated marquee, so Little Black Dresses are a possibility, though perhaps take…

    Tea Break Tuesday: Viva Forever!

It’s Tea-Break Tuesday Time! This week our PR Manager Fleur gives us her review of the newest and spiciest musical in London; “Friday night was a trip to Piccadilly’s Denman Street for Viva Forever! – the Spice Girls musical that has been attracting some mixed reviews since its launch late last year (yes, the one where VB tried to ignore the rest of the Spices and steal the limelight as per usual!) We were late for the first 20 minutes and had to wait in the foyer thanks to unreliable London Transport. Once we were ushered in there was an explosion of glitter and lighting as the second scene launched into the…
