By now, you should know that all our ranges have been expertly designed with bright colours, unique styles and craft techniques – you only need to step into our design room for a second to appreciate this first-hand. More importantly though, there’s always inspiration behind the things we create. And this time around, we’re going global. But, don’t just take our word for it, let the creator tell you herself…
A Note From The Designer
“On a personal level I am always attracted to paisley and Indian Chintz prints from when I lived there- they bring back great memories. Luckily for me they were all over the catwalks this season. For this summer, we have chosen on-trend paisleys in shades that will be great for holidays, as well as our British summer, light and airy bases with bright pops of colour.” – Elle
Paisley: A History
Throwing a unique twist on original styles has always been the Yumi way. But this time, we’ve stuck to the bread and butter of paisley. Originating from the East, paisley slowly made its way over to the West in the 19th century. It became a symbol for bohemian culture during the psychedelic era, with its spiritual connotations becoming popular in the world of music.
Expect to find boho infusions, Indian prints and 60’s charm in our collection.
Scarf Print Paisley
Channeling the under-the-sea vibe, mermaid style meets vintage chic with our scarf print dresses. Covered in slinky fabric, our dresses feature a rich blend of oceanic blues and serene greens. The paisley and scarf patterns are intertwined to add a rich baroque feel – a pattern that comes back every summer and isn’t going away anytime soon. Plus, we’re pretty sure our dresses are just as timeless…
Indian Chintz
Here come the retro classics! Bursting with signature maze-like florals, this collection is full of warm pinks, garden greens and adorable enhancements – notice the tassels? It’s also crucial for the design to be just as feminine as the pattern, so our designers have gone for swingy shapes. Oh, and we’ve totally fallen for the ruching.
