Long Hair

California beach waves are perfect for a pretty yet nonchalant evening look. This style, as seen on Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge, looks great when contrasting a busy print or dramatic shape. Simply tong the ends with your curling wand or straightener and pull out curls with fingers for a natural finish. Set with hairspray.

Up do

An up do style works well when you need to keep the focus on the outfit, particularly if it features beading and embellishment. Make like Cheryl Versini-Fernandez with this fuss free up style and after curling hair, backcomb the roots to add some lift. When the curls have set you can begin securing the curls back with bobby pins, allowing for a few tendrils to frame the face. Set with plenty of hairspray and pop some extra pins in your bag in case you need to fix your hair during the night.

Short Hair

Add texture and tousle to a short hairstyle like pop star and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Frankie Bridge. Blow dry your hair straight with a large barrel brush. Part hair to the side above the middle of the eyebrow and then curl the front sections of hair back with curling tongs or a hair straightener. To set, add some finishing serum to the ends, being careful not to weigh down the hair with too much product.

Big Hair

When it comes to creating a show stopping party look, remember the bigger the better. Offset a modest or simple outfit with some big hair a la Kendall Jenner. To create Kendall’s sleek, voluminous hairstyle begin by applying volumizing mousse before blow-drying thoroughly. With a teasing comb, begin to back comb the crown and side sections of the hair. Brush back with a paddle brush to smooth out and set with lots of hairspray.
