Pop Up London, Let’s Enjoy This Great City!
London is definitely alive this summer with the Olympics taking place in various locations around the city! There is just so much to do – don’t know where to start?
We had an ask around at Yumi HQ and here’s our top 5 things we want to do and see:
Camden Beach
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, however being in London, beaches aren’t easy to find. BUT thanks to the creative team at the Roundhouse theatre in Camden, NW1 has now got its own beach over the summer, complete with parasols, windbreakers, ice-cream van and plenty of games to play. So get your family together, or the girls for a fun day out!!
Priceless London Wonderground
Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, we present to you a brand new and exciting festival that has arrived in the city of London! Priceless London Wonderground along the southbank of the river Thames is a festival full of magical events, circus acts, wonders and curiosities. The show line-up includes a wide range of cabaret, artists and circus performers. We’ll be popping down with our friends for a fun day out. You can get all the ticket details here. Also – note the rainbow sand (pictured above) that is currently running along the Southbank making a rainbow beach – LOVE.
Pop-Up Screens
Back in the 50s, drive in cinemas were very popular, however, now there isn’t anything like that around……until now. Pop-Up screens is an outdoor cinema experience showing classic movies in various locations around the capital. Check for dates and prices on here and get your popcorn ready – this is an event you cannot miss!
Red Market Pop Up
We are dying to spend a day here! Down in Shoreditch, visitors can sample the wide range of street food, play games such as table tennis or petanque, or just relax in one of the many hammocks on a sandy area and enjoy the view, graffiti artwork or even watch selected Olympic and Paralympic games, or classic films on a big screen. We look forward to seeing you there!
Bompas and Parr’s Crazy Gold Course
How about a little retro fun? Well here’s just the thing – a mini- golf course located on the top of Selfridges! Enjoy afternoon tea and play on the course which shows London landmarks made out of cake or jelly. Unfortunately you won’t be able to take a bite out of Big Ben, but maybe you can get a hole in one?
Let us know what fun things you are up to this Summer!
