Behind the Scenes at our Shoot with Model Comp Winner Megan McMinn!
A few months ago we ran a competition with Sapphires Models to find a fresh new girl to be the face of our Winter campaign. Our hunt found us the fabulous flame haired Megan McMinn (find out more about her in a little interview here) who was a complete star all day, never faltering and working each look we styled her up in! We shot the new images in a gorgeous town house in East London and had so much fun getting in the Christmas party mood in um, late August. Ella and Daisy Shoot Yumi AW12
Who are Ella and Daisy you may ask? Well, they were two lovely interns we recently had here at Yumi HQ. Eager to learn all they could about the industry, they really impressed us by styling and shooting this little photoshoot, using their favourite pieces from our Autumn/Winter 2012 collection! Ella is the model you see in the pictures and Daisy was behind the scenes, taking on the role of photographer. We think you’ll agree that they did a fabulous job and made the collection look fun and fashionable – exactly encompassing the Yumi spirit!

This season, animals prints (whether they be a large statement owl or a small repeated pattern of foxes or lions) are an essential part of your look. Yumi AW12: The Whimsical Creatures Trend
If you go down to the woods today……you’ll find inspiration for one of our quirkiest trends this season! There is something for everyone this Autumn/Winter – our whimsical creatures trend is a winning formula for the Yumi lady who is young at heart, with cutesy wildlife prints of foxes, lions and owls. Whichever animal takes your fancy, our prints come on dresses, blouses and knitwear, so can be incorporated into all aspects of your wardrobe! So, all of you know the infamous ‘The September Issue‘ film chronicling the making of American Vogue magazine’s biggest yearly fashion issue (if you don’t remember then either you had your head stuck in the sand a few years ago, or you were maybe too young!).
