We Can’t Wait For…..The Dark Knight Rises

We wouldn’t generally call ourselves superhero fans but we make an exception for the most recent Batman trilogy, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale as Batman. The Dark Knight Rises finishes the trilogy and is out this Friday. It features Anne Hathaway as the iconic Catwoman (we’re very intrigued to see how she compares to the great Michelle Pfeiffer) and the delicious Tom Hardy as baddie Bane.

The film has already received overwhelmingly positive early reviews by film critics and has even received a standing ovation at a preview screening. Revered movie mag, The Hollywood Reporter even says, “Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy makes everything in the rival Marvel universe look thoroughly silly and childish.” So there you have it, great acting, grown-up fun and even though the legend ends, there is no sadness, only praise.

If you haven’t seen this trilogy, we recommend you get the DVD’s, the previous films feature Heath Ledger and Cillian Murphy, which adds to the enjoyment factor!
