We went to the Olympics!

We managed to blag some tickets this weekend so off we headed to the Olympic Park early on Saturday morning with excitement! We were greeted by many many Olympic staff, all poised high on lifeguard styles chairs shouting through their loudspeakers about the sun, Team GB and pretty much anything to keep spirits high.

The Park itself is pretty special, kind of like being at a festival but also being in a theme park. We loved the Meadham Kirchoff inspired coloured floor and the pink theme that runs pretty much all the way through the park – bit like our Yumi pink we think!

We clocked some very enthusiastic attendees with some very interesting outfits, and we even saw one lovely lady in our Jubilee Dress. We snapped this little pic of a couple draped in the British flag, love it! We were there to see the basketball and as you can see from the above pic – the atmosphere in the arena was electric!

Top tip though folks – if you are attending any events before the Olympics comes to a close – take your own food! The food in the Olympic Park is overpriced and not so tasty, take a little picnic instead and enjoy on the grass (weather permitting of course!)
