New Year Resolutions: Small Changes for a Better You

Happy New Year!

There’s only one thing we love more than floral prints and retro patterns, and that’s new beginnings!

The New Year is the perfect opportunity to take on new challenges, and 2018 is no exception!

So with this in mind, we’ve put together a list of resolutions worth making this year. Whether you’re looking to make small changes or want to do something big… We’ve got the New Year Resolution for you.

First things first, drink more water! It may seem like an obvious one but it’s so important to stay hydrated. Drinking more water not only contributes to a healthy body, it also illuminates toxins and improves your complexion, mood and energy levels. If you find it hard to drink water or just don’t like the taste, opt for infused water.

Make more time for self care in 2018. Show yourself some love this year by treating your mind, body and soul. Run a bubble bath and unwind with a book, take up yoga, reconnect with a friend or go for a long walk. It’s important to make yourself, physical health and mental health a priority. Slow down, take a breath and find beauty in the ordinary.

Chill out friend! It's self care to take a break and relax. The opposite of chilling is stress and that's so not self care.

Get more sleep! Not only is our bed one of our favourite places to be, it’s also super important for your overall health. A lack of sleep can suppress your immune system, making you more likely to get ill. Hitting snooze also means you’re more alert during the day, benefits your mood and makes you appear healthier. If we needed an excuse for more shut-eye, this would definitely be it!

Pet a pooch! Now, this may seem like a strange resolution to make, but has anyone felt bad after petting an animal? Of course not! Studies have shown that bonding with animals can not only lower your blood pressure, cholesterol and mental health, it also gets you active. And anyway, who could resist this fluffy ball of cuteness?!
