It’s time to whip out your wellies and dust off your floral headband, festival season has returned! Yes, a summer of bright florals, summer dresses and over accessorizing awaits. Who’s excited? We definitely are. And even though you’ve bought your ticket for the tunes, there’s also the unmissable opportunity to show off your style. It’s widely known that festivals are no longer just for the music, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing…

With great fashion opportunity comes great worry! It’s not uncommon to feel the pressure of looking good at a festival. But, stop your fretting – all you need is a little Yumi TLC to ensure your outfit is ready for the great outdoors! So, we’ve come up with six looks that you can wear to casual festivals, no matter your style or taste in music. Plus, if the last time you went to a festival was when psychedelic wigs, fluorescent tops and netted tights were popular, you may want to keep reading. Let’s get started…

Boho Chic

Floral Tunic Dress

A motif that’s been popular since the 60s, bohemian looks are always a hit at festivals. Take our tunic dress as a perfect example; in a smock shape, the relaxed material echoes free-spirited fashion, while the bright floral print updates the vintage design with a modern twist. And, where would you wear it? To a food festival of course! It’s bold enough to stand out but classy enough for sampling some nibbles. We recommend The Big Feastival 2019 in the Cotswolds!

Club Tropicana

If you’re after a dress that won’t lose its style, go for this tropical skater dress. The pretty print is already festival-ready, so all the outfit needs for a fun finish is a denim jacket and Chelsea boots. Set your eyes on a different destination – why not wine down at a wine festival? Try the Festival of Wine in London.

Beside the Seaside

Kick off festival season by dressing in something a little different: a midi dress and a kimono. The cut-out broderie pattern on the dress adds elegant detailing, which emphasizes just how showstopping the floral kimono really is. Take this quirky combo to the coast! Found on a Cornish seaside, the Falmouth Oyster Festival is full of music, cookery demonstrations and of course, oysters!

On the Beach

Sometimes inspiration for festival outfits comes from unlikely settings. For us, it’s the beach. As shown with our maxi dress, the dragonfly print and frilled hemline are pinched from cover-ups, while the updated neckline is great for showcasing your collection of pendant necklaces – the more, the better! Show off this dress at the Spring Festival in Ludlow – it kicks off British festival season and starts at the beginning of May.

Fine Art

If you dig floral fashion, go all out and dress head-to-toe in it! In a fitted shape and with a bardot neckline, our retro jumpsuit has vintage vibes and colourful hues. Plus, a flower garland would look especially chic with this one-piece. Pack it in your suitcase when you take a trip to he London Art Fair; there’ll be no need to buy the art as you’ll already be wearing it!

Abstract prints and neon hues aren’t essential to make an entrance at a festival, all you need is a figure-flattering shape and sophisticated frills. Designed with a self-tie waist to give you a smooth silhouette, the graceful buttons and lightweight fabric make this piece our Yumi headliner! You don’t need to go far to wear it either. Simply throw your own festival in your back garden; stock up on bunting, snacks and a speaker – then all you need is to hand out the VIP tickets!
