Meet The Team: Our Social Media Assistant

Have your ever wondered what life as a Social Media Assistant is really like? Well wonder no more because Nicky has all the answers! She’ll be talking through her favourite things about working at Yumi, her standout piece from SS18 and what she loves most about summer.

What’s your favourite thing about working at Yumi?

My favourite thing about working a Yumi is that I love everything it represents! Standing out from the crowd in unique prints and quirky patterns.
So many of our amazing dresses have been influenced by stunning locations all around the world, with prints that are created by our in-house designers – so they truly are exclusive to our brand… I promise you’re not going to find our Giraffe Print Tunic Dress anywhere else!

What does a typical day look like for you?

Every day is different at Yumi, which is another reason why I like it! From getting a behind the scenes look at campaign shoots, to scheduling that content on our social channels and creating adverts for all our new dresses… there’s always something going on! I also spend a lot of time working with influencers. It’s super fun working with people who share the same passion for the brand as I do.

What’s your standout piece from our SS18 range?

For me it just HAS to be our Spot Mesh Prom Dress! I love the pastel pink colour and the detail on the lace overlay! I’ll definitely be pairing this with a statement necklace and making it my go to wedding outfit this summer!

What do you do when you’re not at work?

When I’m not working, I love to spend my time hanging out with friends and writing. I love dogs (well, all animals really!) and I’ve been known to spend time volunteering at the Dogs Trust in Harefield on the odd occasion! I’m also a keen horse rider and I try my hardest to spend time in the saddle whenever I get a chance… which can be difficult when living in London!I try to travel as much as possible too, and I’ll be heading off to Dubai and Thailand later in the year… I can’t wait!

What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this Spring/Summer?

I can’t wait for looooong sunny days spent in beer gardens with my friends, it’s what summer is all about!
