The Best of British Fashion Rocked the Olympics!
We were so pleased that this was one of the rumours that turned out to be true – the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 games featured a section paying tribute to great British fashion. The gold (of course, what else?) creations were worn by the cream of the British modelling world. So great to see our industry celebrated on such a large global stage!
Walking out to the super-appropriate ‘Fashion’ by David Bowie, all the models looked stunning – left to right in the below pic – Lily Cole was in Erdem, Stella Tennant wore Christopher Kane, flame haired Karen Elson dazzled in Burberry, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell were wearing Alexander McQueen, Lily Donaldson shimmered in Vivienne Westwood, Jourdan Dunn wore Jonathan Saunders and Georgia May Jagger was in Victoria Beckham. The only man among them – David Gandy wore a sharp Paul Smith suit.
In a nice tie in – the models had already been seen in these outfits, in a shoot for this months British Vogue magazine.
