Easy Martell Cognac Cocktail Recipes for Christmas

Created by the uber-talented Clotilde Lataille of Hawksmoor Spitalfields, these delicious cognac cocktail recipes are sure to warm the cockles of your heart on the run up to Christmas.

Can-Can 300
This cocktail is deliciously moreish with a subtle bitterness from IPA syrup. Made with Martell Cordon Bleu, Byrrh and IPA syrup, this slick looking cocktail is a great alternative to an Old Fashioned.
Easy to make and totally perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
40ml Martell Cordon Bleu
10ml Byrrh
10ml Ipa syrup
Method
Stir all ingredient into a rocks glass or a cute vintage tea cup with one big ice cube.
Garnish with dried pineapple.
5 O’clock In Charente
Made with Martell VS, Red Ruby tea, refreshing blackberries and Schezuan syrup, lemon juice and Perrier Jouet champagne, it’s a total showstopper, especially when served in a pretty tea cup.
Perfect for a Christmas Eve tipple.
Ingredients
600ml Martell VS
200ml Schezuan syrup
300ml cold Red Ruby tea
200ml freshly squeeze lemon juice
Top up with Perrier Jouet
Method
Pour all the ingredients into the punch bowl with a big block of ice and stir well.
Garnish with edible flowers, lemon wheels, raspberries and blackberries.
Serve in a vintage tea cup.
An Extra Ordinary Martell Elixir
Sweet and refreshing, this elixir is the perfect digestif after scoffing your Christmas dins, featuring Martell XO, Apricot Liqueur, passion fruit cordial, Belsazar Rosé Vermouth and Lemon Myrtle tea.
Perfect for the whole table, mix a big batch in a wine carafe.
Ingredients
35ml Martell XO
10ml Belsazar Rosé Vermouth
5ml Apricot Liqueur
5ml passion fruit cordial
50ml cold Lemon Myrtle tea
Method
Mix all ingredients except Martell XO into a wine carafe and keep it in the freezer for 2-3 hours before serving.
Then add 35ml of Martell XO to a wine glass and stir in the wine carafe mixture.
